I wanted to post part of an email that someone sent to me the other day. This person is a local and is very familiar to the school and area. With their permission, I am posting this first to show how sometimes what we are getting is not so much helpful in finding a person, but simply may be a validation that we are actually connecting. Next, I'm hoping there is something here that will "click" and help in the search.
- "Jackson" could be Jackson School Rd, not far from Skyline. It's a large artery connecting mountain country to city.
- The school is several miles from about 5 cemeteries. None of them have many crosses, nor any that jut out from above ground level- perhaps carved on headstones, but not above ground.
- The basketball could be the courts behind the school (3/4th fenced surrounding the black top) or it could be we had The Blazers- Portland's NCAA basketball team out on Friday (had been being planned for a week).
- YMCA- 5th graders took their annual camping trip this weekend at the YMCA- He could have known about it and been excited with anticipation over it- lots of the kids were talking about it. Things like "I can't wait until I'm in 5th grade", etc. (This is what I mean about validation. I had no clue about the trip, how could I? And it made no sense to me, but it does go along with his personality. He is such a cool soul!)
- The only thing that can be mistaken for crosses or cross like items are grape vines at some of the vineyards east of the school OR a Power Supply station- across from and old cemetery with a small church on it- several miles away.
- The church across the street- only in symbolism. It's a restored building used for weddings and town meetings. Nothing more.
Ok, so we did figure out that there is a cross, but I think only one, at the Skyline Memorial Gardens. Other than that I'm not sure if this is helpful. I think someone sent me something about Jackson School Road and when I find it I will add it here.
There are crosses (crucifix) at Skyline Memorial Gardens, in Portland Oregon.
ReplyDeleteHere are the only pictures I could find. The first one is a huge cross (Crucifix).
First picture, looks like the picture you drew.

Right now the LE are asking for information regarding the stepmom's being in the area of school on the date Kyron went missing. Also, searching in the water at Sauvie Island (where her cell pinged).
ReplyDeleteI was pretty sure that I read that at least one parent or teacher confirms that they did see her at the school with Kyron.. Is that not true?
ReplyDelete"I was pretty sure that I read that at least one parent or teacher confirms that they did see her at the school with Kyron.. Is that not true?"
ReplyDeleteNo. Not one report has included that and, up to the last press conference, LE would not say who was the last to see Kyron. Now, they say SM was the last to see him and they are trying to find anyone at all who saw Kyron or the stepmom at the school that morning.
Thats weird because I know I read an article that named a woman at the school who said she remembers seeing Terri that morning. It stated that she was the only one who said that. I guess that goes to show that this whole think is out of control and you can't believe most of what you are reading. I will try to find that article and if I can I'll post a link.
ReplyDeleteIt was Gina Zimmerman, the head of the PTA, she saw them..They also said one other person, but I dont know if that was confirmed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathleen, I knew I wasn't that crazy. The article I read said it was confirmed but I couldn't find it. I appreciate your info!!!
ReplyDeleteHere's the link about GZ seeing them: http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/kyron_horman_chronology_of_eve.html
ReplyDeleteIt was at 8:15 am.
I also wanted to add that I just noticed from that link that his classes did not start until 10am. I have been assuming that his class started at 9, since TMH said she dropped him at the class at 8:45. He actually had over an hour until he had to be in class.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was that young, I would have gone outside to play.
Thanks Bex, you rock!!! I searched and searched and couldn't find it. That is what I was referring to.
ReplyDeleteI had seen the time and I was disappointed to see that a mom would take her child so early and just leave him. But then again, I see it all the time at our school. Mostly because parents have to work and the kids get dropped off as early as an hour before hand but they usually get breakfast and then go to the gym to wait for classes to begin. I see people all the time drop off very little ones, starting with kindergardners, at the bottom of our very steep hill and then just drive off. We live in a rural area and I find that appalling as there is nothing but woods and then a main highway behind the school. I usually stand there and watch make sure they get in. I've even had to walk a few up because they just sit down and don't want to go. Its unreal how parents dump off their children and go on their way but they do. Especially if they do it before the crossing guard gets there. But it happens all the time.
Diana, I just read over some of your older posts and saw that you also saw him climbing what you thought was a ladder.. That is the first thing I saw yesterday. I saw him climbing but it looked, to me, like rocks, a cliff, or a very steep mountain. Wow! -EB
ReplyDeleteI saw 2 pictures after watching a crime show about this case. One, an ocean from a distance, like a cliff, although away from the precipice. Two, a head and torso, professional pic of a pudgy, older man with a graying beard and mustache, and a goofy or weak countenance, wearing a light blue or aqua blue Polo shirt. This happened in the spring and my husband didn't think much of it so I let it go, but I saw another show about Kyron Horman recently, recall my unusual experience, and had to tell someone, just in case. I came across a photo of Kristian Horman, and he looks very similar, pudgy and goofy, and aging. Lastly, usually when I see a sunny day in my dreams, I'm happy, but the photo of the ocean from a distance felt cold.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.. I will have to go take a look at this guy.
